Why choose one of our green energy tariffs?

100% of the electricity we provide is certified as being sourced from UK based wind and solar generators. For every Megawatt hour (MWh) of electricity purchased for our customers, we also purchase a Renewable Energy Guarantee of Origin (REGO) certificate, which proves the electricity is certified as being sourced either directly from the renewable generators or through a green wholesale energy provider. Now you can join the fight against fuel poverty and save the planet at the same time!

The electricity that is physically supplied to British homes comes from the National Grid, via the pylons and substations in the local area. To cover the electricity consumed by customers on our tariffs, we purchase Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) certificates. Ofgem issues one of these certificates for every megawatt hour (MWh) of renewable electricity produced by generators.

What kind of generators are eligible for REGOs?

The types of renewable generation which receive REGOs include solar photovoltaic installations, onshore and offshore wind turbines, and biomass. They must be located in the United Kingdom.

If you select our green energy tariff the electricity we provide will be certified as being sourced from UK based wind and solar generators. We actively look for opportunities to support new schemes but some of our energy will be provided from existing UK based projects.
